Title: Lord Shiva with Trident Medium: Acrylic color on canvas  Size: 16x20 inches status: Not available Description of Shiva Painting In this painting, I depict Lord Shiva, a complex god with many roles and attributes, and a sacred deity in Hinduism. He embodies both asceticism and cosmic energy, and one can see a serene expression on his face. Traditionally, lord Shiva is represented with flowing hair adorned with the crescent moon, exuding tranquility and power. Many artists have created their own interpretations of Shiva. In my painting, I have depicted my own version, focusing more on the technical aspects rather than a realistic depiction. The color scheme primarily features muted tones of grey and blue. To create texture on the canvas, I used a palette knife in some areas to bring vibrancy to the artwork. For me, my art mirrors my deepest feelings or emotions at any given moment or a certain context. The emotions and the visual stimuli that led to the emotion coalesce and crystallize into the image that gets transferred onto the canvas. My theme differs from painting to painting and is the product of the sublimation of my thoughts and feelings in a given context. Many artists create wonderful artworks, but the biggest challenge is selling them. I feel fortunate to have sold 150 artworks so far. Based on my experience, I’d like to offer some advice on how to sell your artwork. When creating any piece, do not think about selling it. Create for yourself and enjoy the process. When you put your heart and soul into your work, it will undoubtedly resonate with someone. Sometimes the results are good, and sometimes they are not but don’t be disheartened. Whether it’s a landscape, still life, or abstract piece, it’s all fine! As an artist, many fellow artists, art lovers, and curators will advise you to develop your signature style. To some extent, this can be helpful, but I’ve often seen artists create repetitive works that sell the most.
