MY PERCEPTION OF ART

Image
For me, my art mirrors my deepest feelings or emotions at any given moment or a certain context. The emotions and the visual stimuli that led to the emotion coalesce and crystallize into the image that gets transferred onto the canvas. My theme differs from painting to painting and is the product of the sublimation of my thoughts and feelings in a given context. There is often a fusion of the past and the present, of myth and reality, of the ideal and the actual. Visions of the past coalescing with the hard reality of the here and now.   By Sunil Chawdiker

Sold Art works ( Advice how to sell your artwork)

Image
Many artists create wonderful artworks, but the biggest challenge is selling them. I feel fortunate to have sold 150 artworks so far. Based on my experience, I’d like to offer some advice on how to sell your artwork. When creating any piece, do not think about selling it. Create for yourself and enjoy the process. When you put your heart and soul into your work, it will undoubtedly resonate with someone. Sometimes the results are good, and sometimes they are not but don’t be disheartened. Whether it’s a landscape, still life, or abstract piece, it’s all fine! As an artist, many fellow artists, art lovers, and curators will advise you to develop your signature style. To some extent, this can be helpful, but I’ve often seen artists create repetitive works that sell the most. I don’t believe in a strict signature style; instead, I enjoy the process more than the product. Sometimes there are similarities in my work, and sometimes there are not, and I don’t worry about it. I believe th...

Chaos in Harmony

Image
Title: Chaos in Harmony size: 22x28 inches  Medium: acrylic on paper Status: Not available   I enjoy painting abstract art because it allows me to express emotions and ideas that are difficult to capture through realistic forms. The freedom of abstraction enables me to break away from the constraints of representation and explore color, shape, and texture in ways that feel personal and intuitive. It's a process of discovery, where I can tap into my subconscious and communicate feelings or moods that words can't fully describe. The unpredictable nature of abstract painting, where each stroke or layer might reveal something unexpected, makes the experience both exciting and deeply fulfilling. Additionally, abstract art gives me the chance to engage with the viewer in a unique way. Unlike figurative art, which often tells a specific story, abstract pieces invite individual interpretations and can evoke different reactions in different people. This openness to interpretation ma...
